Littlewood's Nurture Hub

Littlewood’s Nurture Hub

At Littlewood’s Nurture Hub, we provide a safe, supportive space for children who are unable to access mainstream school settings. Our alternative education programme is designed to help children re-engage with learning at their own pace, in a calm, inclusive environment where they feel understood, valued, and empowered.

We know that every child’s journey is different, especially for those who have experienced trauma, struggle with emotional regulation, or have additional sensory needs. That’s why we take a therapeutic, child-centred approach, using tailored activities to build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

Our goal is simple: to help children move from isolation to independence, and when they’re ready, support their smooth reintegration back into school life.

We operate 5 days a week, with sessions running from 10am to 2pm. Each day is carefully structured but flexible, allowing children to engage in activities that spark their curiosity while gently encouraging progress in key areas like communication, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.

What we offer

At Littlewood’s Nurture Hub, we offer a safe space to learn, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful activities.

Our activities include:

A pathway back to school

We work closely with schools, families, and external professionals to create personalised reintegration plans. Through regular reviews and observations, we ensure that each child’s progress is carefully monitored and supported.

There’s no set timeline as we believe reintegration should happen when the child is truly ready. Our team provides consistent updates to schools and collaborates on transition strategies that put the child’s wellbeing first

Littlewood’s Nurture Hub operates from a fully accessible, purpose-built centre in Sheffield designed for children with a wide range of needs.
